Giants Agree to Terms with Colts WR Parris Campbell
The New York Giants are signing former Colts receiver Parris Campbell, an unrestricted free agent, to their receiver room, per NFL Insider Jordan Schultz of The Score.
Campbell, 6-foot and 208 pounds, was the Colts second-round pick out of Ohio State in 2019, where he recorded 143 receptions for 1,768 yards and 15 touchdowns and returned 30 kickoffs for 913 yards.
He is coming off his best season to date and the first in which he was available for every game. In 2022, Campbell caught 63 of 91 pass targets for 623 yards and three touchdowns, all career highs.
Campbell also posted five broken tackles and didn't drop a pass in 17 games played last season with the Colts.
Before his career season in 2022, Campbell had injury issues, appearing in just 15 of a possible 49 regular season games between 2019 and 2021. Still, his production last year in a season where the Colts quarterback situation was a mess and the fact that he was finally able to stay healthy should make him a low-risk high reward.
