The New York Giants are reportedly hosting veteran defensive lineman Chris Wormley on a visit Monday, according to The Athletic.

Wormley, 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, was a third-round draft pick by the Ravens out of Michigan in 2017. He spent the first three years of his career in Baltimore, where he was with current Giants defensive coordinator Don Martindale, then the Ravens defensive coordinator. He then spent the last three seasons with the Steelers.

Wormley has appeared in 80 regular-season games, with 31 starts. He has 142 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, ten pass breakups, 23 quarterback hits, and 11 sacks.

The Giants are a touch thin on the defensive line. According to head coach Brian Daboll, Ryder Anderson (triceps) will be sidelined for several weeks. Daboll also mentioned on Monday that Rakeem Nunez-Roches, one of their free-agent signings this year, was dealing with a groin injury.

Although the Giants did get A'Shawn Robinson off PUP, he will gradually get ramped up in the coming days and weeks. The Giants also have another defensive lineman, D.J. Davidson, on the PUP list.
