You can probably make a case for both, I think. I don't have a preference, as both contributed so much to the Giants for their respective eras. I am fortunate to have covered both men during their time with the team.

For draft weekend itself, no. I will be at the Giants, so hosting or participating in a live stream won't be practical. But we're hoping to do something in the next week or two, and I imagine we'll do something after the draft if the fellas are up to it.

It depends on who is on the board when they go on the clock, Nick (And also @SMGoat, who asked the same question). Put it this way: I wouldn't rule it out right now. That said, there is a specific question I hope to be able to ask Joe Schoen when he speaks to the media in a couple of weeks that I think might provide me with a better understanding of how the Giants might approach this draft.  

I don't see it happening. I believe Boutte had a couple of surgeries on his ankle. He's also another short-ish receiver. That said, if his medicals check out, maybe he makes for a Day 3 prospect.

Carl, I believe that Darren Waller, even though he's a tight end, is the de facto "No. 1 receiver" and that the Giants are maybe hoping that he draws extra coverage that leaves the smaller and quicker guys open to pick-up yards after the catch. So yes, I do think that's the Giants' plan for the time being, and I strongly suspect there isn't a No. 1 receiver in the draft or free agency that has tickled their fancy.

As of right now, I believe J.C. Hassenauer is the top candidate to fill that role, but I wouldn't be shocked if a rookie gets drafted to be the long-term answer.

Interesting question. As of right now, I would say losing Nick Gates, only because of the depth he provided and the fact that right now the Giants have just Hassenauer (once he signs) as a guy who's had plenty of experience playing center at this level.

(From George Z.) I recall that George Young once said that a 1st round pick should be capable of "dominating his position." Does that mean that he might prefer to use the 25th pick for the best player at a "low value" position (i.e., Center) over the 4th or 5th best at a "high value" position (WR/CB)?

George, I don't think there is such a thing as "low-value" positions anymore. You need 11 on offense and 11 on defense to win. Do you truly believe center isn't an important position? Where do you think most of the pressure last year came from? Right, up the gut. You take the best available on your board, and if you get a chance to marry the best available with need, even better.

(From Jay B.) All the chatter about OL has understandably been about IOL, particularly Center. But what if GOD FORBID Andrew Thomas gets hurt, or Neal doesn’t improve? Who is the depth/swing OT & do you see JS drafting an OT? If so, late rounder? Anyone you like on Day 2 or Day 3?

Jay that is an excellent question, and yes, I have thought about that. Right now, they have Tyre Phillips and Matt Peart, who can play tackle--I believe Jack Anderson can also. But yes, I'd like to see them add to that competition for the summer with a Day 3 pick. I don't have any names off the top of my head, but I'm sure I'll come up with one when I do my mock.
