The Dallas Cowboys hold a 28-0 halftime lead over the New York Giants in their Week 10 game in Arlington, Texas.

The Giants defense, gashed for 26 points and 132 yards in the first half of their Week 1 game against the Cowboys, turned in a worse showing, allowing 28 points and 368 yards in the first half of this week's game.

On its opening drive, Dallas drove to the Giants' 2-yard line. But on 4th-and-2, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy elected to go for it with running back Tony Pollard trying to get the first down. Pollard was held to just one yard thanks to a combo tackle by Dexter Lawrence and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari, the Cowboys giving up the ball on downs.

No matter as the Cowboys eventually got on the board on their third possession of the game when quarterback Dak Prescott connected with receiver CeeDee Lamb for the 14-yard touchdown to make it 7-0.

The Giants, who mustered only 27 yards of offense, got a golden opportunity to get on the board when cornerback Cor'Dale Flott recorded his first career interception of the game on a Prescott pass intended for Lamb on the final play of the first quarter.

But the Giants came up shy of paydirt, as on fourth down from the Cowboys' 4-yard line, running back Saquon Barkley was stuffed for no gain on a run between the tackles in which he would have needed to push the pile. The result? The Giants were denied points.

Following the change of possession on downs, the Cowboys drove 96 yards to make it 14-0 on tight end Jake Ferguson's fourth touchdown catch of the year.

Rolling with undrafted free agent quarterback Tommy DeVito, the Giants turned in an uneventful first half on offense, leaning heavily on Barkley, who finished with one rushing yards on seven carries in the first half. Unfortunately for the Giants, the Cowboys knew it and made a concerted effort to stop Barkley.

Dallas made it a 21-0 game on Prescott's 10-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks on 2nd-and-goal from the Giants' 10-yard line.

The beatdown continued, as just before the end of the first half, the Cowboys made it 28-0. Prescott found Cooks on a 34-yard pass over the middle, the touchdown saved by cornerback Darnay Holmes. Prescott then avoided trouble and threw off-balance, connecting with Lamb for a 17-yard reception to give the Cowboys 1st-and-10 at the Giants' 11-yard line.

After a holding penalty against Dallas, Prescott took the ball into the end zone for the 10-yard score to make it 28-0.

Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas left the game for a bit with a left knee injury suffered in the first quarter but was able to return in the second quarter.
