Matchups between the New York Giants and New England Patriots have come a long way.

Whereas there was a time when the matchup meant that the two best teams in the NFL deemed worthy of a Super Bowl berth were set to square off against one another, these days, both teams have been struggling to keep their heads afloat, the only notable thing at stake being draft position.

But there's more at stake here for the Giants, who, although not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, have been eliminated from having any chance at winning the division (we know!). 

For head coach Brian Daboll and his staff, these last six games are going to be all about evaluating talent, starting with quarterback Tommy DeVito, who will attempt to build off last week's promising showing against the Commanders and try to stay afloat against a Bill Belichick defense know for creating confusion for quarterbacks.
