Giants Add Former Titans Personnel Man Ryan Cowden to Front Office

In this story:
Former Tennessee Titans Vice President of Player Personnel Ryan Cowden, whose name was removed from the Titan's website earlier this month, is per the New York Post, joining the New York Giants as executive advisor to the General Manager Joe Schoen.
Cowden’s name was removed from the Titans’ web site a few weeks ago, sparking speculation that he was headed to the Giants. That speculation turned out to be correct. https://t.co/CpKTE11sY8

Cowden, 44, interviewed for the Giants general manager role back in 2021, the job ultimately going to Schoen. Cowden had been the team's Vice President of Player Personnel since 2018 after initially joining the franchise as its Director of Player Personnel.
Cowden's duties include scouting (college and pro), free agency preparation, and talent evaluation across all leagues. He is also a key figure in the preparation of the NFL Draft.
Cowden spent 16 years with Carolina, where his last known title was Assistant Director of College Scouting, a position he held for two years and where his path also crossed with Schoen. He also has experience as a scout, which he performed earlier in his career.
The Giants have not yet filled their Director of College Scouting position, which has been vacant since Schoen relieved Chris Petit of that role last year. It is currently unknown whether Cowden will fill that role as part of his new duties or if Schoen plans to leave the title vacant.
