In this story:

New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger (eye) and offensive tackle Evan Neal (knee) have been declared out of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.

The Giants also listed receiver Kenny Golladay (knee), outside linebacker Oshane Ximines (quad), and cornerback Cor'Dale Flott (calf) as questionable.

Head coach Brian Daboll said he was optimistic about Golladay's return from a sprained MCL suffered in Week 4.

"He’s had two days. We’ll see how he does today, but I’m optimistic that he should be ready to go," he said before the team's practice on Friday. "But we’ll go through it one more day and see if anything happens."

Daboll said the same thinking applied to Ximines and Flott.

The Giants did not give an injury designation to receiver Richie James, who cleared the concussion protocol, so he will be available to play, though whether he'll retain his punt returner role remains to be seen.

Receiver Marcus Johnson (thumb) was added to the injury report on Friday and listed as a limited practice participant. Still, he didn't receive an injury designation, so he's expected to be available.

In other injury news, the Giants aren't expected to activate offensive lineman Shane Lemieux (toe) this week from IR. Cornerback Rodarius Williams (knee) also has his 21-day clock winding down, so it will be interesting to see if he is activated this week or if the Giants will wait another week.

Still, the Giants, who have an open roster spot, might be looking to bring up another defensive lineman after losing ick Williams (biceps) to injured reserve earlier this week.

They could also be thinking of using a standard practice squad elevation on safety/linebacker Landon Collins to help against the Texans' running game, as led by Dameon Pierce. Collins has one more elevation left on his eligibility before he becomes subject to waivers.

Thursday Injury Report

The Giants had no change to their injury report from the day prior. The team was given the day off by head coach Brian Daboll so the injury report was a projection.

 Wednesday Injury Report

The Week 10 injury news for the Giants can best be described as trending in the right direction.

Evan Neal (knee) and Daniel Bellinger (eye) are the only Giants whose head coach Brian Daboll didn't expect to practice Wednesday.

Receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) continues to trend in the right direction. Daboll said Golladay had a solid day of practice Tuesday and that they would look to see if he could do a bit more. Golladay was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Cornerback Cor'Dale Flott (calf) is also working his way back to the lineup after missing the last five games with his injury. So is outside linebacker Oshane Ximines (quad), who was expected to do a little bit more on Wednesday to test out his injury. Both were listed as limited Wednesday.

Receiver/Punt Returner Richie James (concussion) has cleared the protocol, but it remains to be seen if he will retain his punt return duties. Special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey said they would decide later in the week.

James has three fumbles on the year, including two big ones in the loss against Seattle. Darnay Holmes replaced him after suffering his concussion on the second muff when he was slammed to the ground. James was a full participant in practice.

In other news, offensive lineman Shane Lemieux, who had his 21-day window opened this week, will continue ramping up his scout team reps. Still, it's unlikely he will be activated this week, given the Giants' needs elsewhere on the roster.

Here is the full Giants injury report for Wednesday, which remained unchanged on Thursday. (The Giants didn't practice Thursday as they had the day off, so Thursday's report is a projection.)
