Update on Ole Miss Defensive Assistant Freddie Roach

Roach had a brief stop in the NFL for the Patriots in 2006. He had reportedly been considered for the Giants coaching staff but has instead opted to remain in his current post.

UPDATE: Roach will be remaining at Mississippi, the school announced.

An earlier report from SiriusXM NFL Radio claimed that Roach was contemplating joining Judge's staff as the Giants defensive line coach in what would have been the first NFL coaching assignment for the 36-year-old Roach.
