Six Giants Held Out of Wednesday's Practice

In this story:
Six members of the New York Giants-- receiver Jalin Hyatt (concussion), tackle Evan Neal (ankle), outside Kayvon Thibodeaux (concussion), cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (concussion), defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence (rest), and inside linebacker Bobby Okereke (hip)--won’t practice today.
Neal and Jackson were injured two weeks ago in the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Hyatt and Thibodeaux were both injured in last week's loss to Dallas. However, the good news regarding Thibodeaux is that although he's in the protocol, he might be much further along, given that he was out and about supporting his JREAM Foundation on Tuesday. That said, it's too soon to predict if he'll be cleared from the protocol to play on Sunday against Washington.
Okereke is a new addition to the injury report. it's unclear when he was injured in last week's game against Dallas and he wasn't available in the locker room on Wednesday to speak, but he's someone the defense can ill-afford to be without.
According to Daboll, cornerbacks Deonte Banks (ankle) and Cor’Dale Flott (shoulder), and left tackle Andrew Thomas (knee) will be limited. Also limited were quarterback Tommy DeVito (left shoulder), safety Xavier McKinney (rib), defensive back JAson Pinnock (thumb/ankle), running back Saquon Barkley (ankle), and receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (knee).
In other injury news, backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, seen running sprints in the team's field house before Daboll's press briefing, is making progress. On injured reserve, Taylor must miss three more weeks before the team can designate him for return.
Taylor told reporters last week that his rib cage injury is not season-ending. He and Daboll have declined to provide specifics as to what exactly he has.
Daboll also said there is no update regarding a date for quarterback Daniel Jones (ACL) to have his surgery. Jones is working on strengthening the knee and waiting for the swelling to subside.
