Jaguars Podcast: Grading Free Agency

What do John and Gus make of the Jaguars' moves in free agency?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a busy week.

Ever since the legal tampering period began last Monday, the Jaguars have had no shortage of moves to follow. From the moves they didn't make -- such as not re-signing Calvin Ridley -- to the moves they did make, the Jaguars supplied plenty of storylines.

Overall, the Jaguars lost free agents like Ridley, Brandon McManus, and K'Lavon Chaisson, but they have also added players like Mitch Morse, Gabe Davis, Arik Armstead, Ronald Darby, Darnell Savage, Devin Duvernay, Joey Slye, and Tervis Gipson.

"My goal was to find the next stage of my career in some place that I feel comfortable, that valued me as a player as well too, and a place I can take the next step and grow in," Armstead said after signing with the Jaguars.

"A place that’s competitive and that I feel I can come in and help get them over the hump. The Jags were a good team before me and whenever I enter a situation, not just in football but in life in general when I’m meeting people and when I’m entering situations working with people, I want to make the place better than when I found it. I want to a positive impact in. I think this team was already a phenomenal team and I think I can help get them to the next level. Having that opportunity is something I look forward to as well.”

John and Gus discuss all of this and more in this week's episode of the JaguarReport podcast.
