The Jaguars have hopped in the spring league market for defensive line help, inviting former St. Louis Battlehawk Elorm Lumor to minicamp.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 242 pounds, Lumor is on the smaller side for a defensive lineman but his experience rushing the passer outweighs any potential concerns about his height.

Prior to the XFL, Lumor played five seasons of college football, spending most of his time On The Banks with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights before transferring to Towson for his graduate campaign.

In 52 career collegiate contests, Lumor finished with 117 total tackles, 11 sacks, and 17.5 sacks, proving to be consistently disruptive on passing downs.

The 2022 UDFA is the second player that Jacksonville has brought in since selecting Louisville pass rusher Yasir Abdullah in the fifth round 2023 NFL Draft to help fix a defensive unit that finished near the bottom of the league in sacks last season.

"I think we are leaning on that. We are expecting Josh Allen to take the lead and of course Travon's there and K'Lavon Chaisson to take a step. They're all guys that have been here, the second year in the defense. Jordan Smith is coming back off injury. He has another opportunity there," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said about the team's pass-rush after the 2023 NFL Draft.

"So, yeah, we expect greater results starting in training camp and then obviously carrying over to the regular season. Looking forward to it. Looking forward to working with these guys, developing their skill set even more."
