The Jacksonville Jaguars have their preseason schedule officially in place.

The Jaguars will kick off their 2023 preseason at the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.

A week later on Aug. 19, the Jaguars will travel to play the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. The Jaguars will hold joint practices with the Lions that week after holding similar practices with the Atlanta Falcons last year.

The Jaguars will end their preseason slate on Aug. 26, hosting the Miamia Dolphins at TIAA Bank Field at 7 p.m.

Under the NFL’s 17-game regular season schedule model, in 2023 all AFC teams will serve as host to the additional ninth regular season home game and only one preseason game. As the Official Stations of the Jaguars, FOX30 and CBS47 will provide the Northeast Florida market with live telecasts of all preseason games.

"Yeah, it's easier from that standpoint but at the same time you're still trying to keep that culture in front of the team these first four weeks or so of our offseason program, we continue to talk about that and continue to build upon it. But what it does now is when this rookie class joins us next week, the culture takes over," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said last week.

"You're not constantly rebuilding that or working on it. The locker room is the locker room and they can absorb these players and they'll see right away just I think the type of locker room that we do have and it shouldn't be an issue fitting in."
