Jaguars awarded four players off waivers, per report

The Jaguars roster has four new additions after the Jaguars were awarded the rights to four offensive players off the waiver wire on Sunday. According to Phillip Heilman of The Athletic, the Jaguars were awarded the following players:
- Running back Devine Ozigbo (from New Orleans Saints)
- Running back Tyler Ervin (from Baltimore Ravens)
- Tight end Seth DeValve (from Cleveland Browns)
- Tight end Matt Orzech (from Baltimore Ravens
JaguarsMaven wrote earlier today that Ozigbo should be considered a candidate for the Jaguars to add, so it is nice to see them put in a claim for the talented rookie running back out of Nebraska. Ozigbo is a good athlete who ran 21 times for 92 yards and caught nine passes for 61 yards in four preseason games with New Orleans.
Ozigbo tells reporters after his Pro Day he weighed in at 222. Also did 19 reps on the bench, 37-inch vertical jump and 10-4 broad jump. Says he's heard his 40 time is in the high 4.5s or low 4.6s but not totally sure. https://t.co/juW3Y1gpaF

DeValve is another add who is not surprising due to his move tight end pedigree. He caught 48 passes for 596 yards and four touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns, and he is a much more dynamic option than Ben Koyack. At his pro day in 2016, he posted a 4.68 40-yard dash and a 40-inch vertical, according to GoPrincetonTigers.com.
According to reports from Ravens writers, Ervin provides special team value as a returner and just got edged out for the Ravens' return job. Orzech is a long snapper, which is an interesting add considering Matt Overton's status on the roster.
The #Jaguars claim a pair of waived #Ravens. Tyler Ervin edged out for return job, but he has experience. Orzech was Ravens backup long snapper this summer https://t.co/ysgBs13MlX
