Welcome to JaguarMaven
Ever since I can remember, sports has been a part of my life. From going to football and baseball games with my parents as a kid, to coaching Pop Warner alongside my Dad. It was always there, but I never knew where it’d take me.
I first started writing about sports in my sophomore year of high school. Fast forward to the fall of 2017, and I was a junior at the University of Central Florida and had the opportunity of a lifetime to cover the school’s football team.
I witnessed the Knights go 13-0 that fall, and I got to cover them like a true sports beat reporter the entire way. I knew then what I wanted to do with my life, and thanks to JaguarsMaven, I can now do that professionally.
I’m honored to announce that I’ve accepted the position of publisher for JaguarMaven, Sports Illustrated’s first Jacksonville Jaguars news outlet. Working for Sports Illustrated has been a goal of mine since I was a child, and being among the first to bring localized Jaguars content to Sports Illustrated still seems surreal to me.
It is impossible to describe how both excited and humbled I am by this venture with Maven. Maven wants to reshape how fans consume sports media content, and is launching team-centric sites to focus on all major sports to deliver readers exciting and fresh content.
At JaguarMaven, fans will have a site that will go out of its way to cover every angle possible. Coverage will be in-depth and boots will be on the ground in Jacksonville to provide the best stories, videos and more for Jaguars fans. From game recaps, to previews to deep profile stories on players you may not have thought twice about, JaguarsMaven will be hitting from every direction.
But JaguarMaven will be more than a place where fans can turn to for updates on all things Jaguars. Fans will also be members of a community and will make up the lifeblood of what JaguarMaven is. Along with daily articles, videos, social media posts, and other analysis, JaguarMaven will be the home of an active community board, where fans can post their own thoughts, debates and discussions.
The free community board will not just be for content posted from JaguarMaven, either. If a member, you can post other content from other sites to help bring as much news, highlights and analysis as possible. And if you have a thought, please post it on the community page. I’d love to hear from as many readers as possible as we grow this community, so please feel welcomed to contribute.
