Gardner Minshew wins rookie of the week honors for 2nd time in 3 weeks

For the second time in the first three weeks of the 2019 season, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has earned top rookie honors.
Minshew was named Pepsi NFL rookie of the week in week 1 when he came off of the bench in relief of an injured Nick Foles. This time around, he earns the honors after starting for the Jaguars in a 20-7 victory on Thursday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans in week 3.
Against the Titans, Minshew was 20-of-30 passing for 204 yards and two touchdowns, and he had a third touchdown dropped by Dede Westbrook. Minshew has been one of the NFL's most surprising storylines this season as he has helped keep the Jaguars afloat in the wake of Foles' being placed on IR for a broken clavicle.
