Jaguars vs. Texans: How to Watch, Week 9 Odds and More

Odds: Houston Texans are currently 1.5 favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The over/under is at 46.5 points.

It makes sense that the 5-3 Texans are slight favorites over the 4-4 Jaguars, even if the Jaguars have the advantage of being used to the trials and tribulations of traveling to London, considering they have done it every year since 2013.

Both teams are rolling right now, but the Texans have already beat the Jaguars this season (13-12 in Week 2) and quarterback Deshaun Watson has played like an MVP candidate all season. It is hard to argue the Jaguars should be favorites in this game, no matter how much experience they have in London. The fact that Houston are only slight favorites instead of having larger odds seems more than fair.

As for the over/under, Sunday's game is going to feature two of the AFC's most explosive offenses and top producing quarterbacks in Watson and Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew. Betting the over seems like the smart move here.

One reason taking the over seems smart here is the fact that each team looks different defensively than the last time they played. The Texans are missing three of their top defensive backs and J.J. Watt due to injuries, while the Jaguars won't have the luxury of letting one of the elite defensive backs in football shadow DeAndre Hopkins due to Jalen Ramsey being traded to the Los Angeles Rams a few weeks ago.
