More waiver wire moves: Linebacker Austin Calitro claimed by Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars got their fifth player off of the waiver wire Tuesday after claiming linebacker Austin Calitro, who was cut by the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced. To make room for Calitro on the 53-man roster, the team waived rookie linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.
"Calitro, 6-0, 240, played in all 16 games with five starts for the Seahawks in 2018, tallying 41 tackles (28 solo), three tackles for loss, one pass defended and a half-sack," the team said in a statement.
Giles-Harris' release means safety Andrew Wingard is the lone rookie undrafted free agent on the 53-man roster who has been with the team since training camp. Giles-Harris is a strong candidate for the practice squad since the team appears to be high on him, but they would have to free up a spot.
Calitro was considered by many to be a surprise cut in Seattle, and his past starting experience makes him a worthwhile depth piece.
