When the New York Jets take the field on Tuesday to start a three-day minicamp, all eyes will be squarely on No. 26. This will be the first time Le'Veon Bell trains with his new teammates.

The Jets inked the three-time Pro Bowl running back to a four-year, $52.5 million contract in March.

Since then, the former Pittsburgh Steeler has remained in South Florida with his personal trainer. Bell skipped the first two weeks of voluntary OTAs, which drew some criticism from Jets fans, considering he already sat out the entire 2018 season due to a contract dispute.

However, Bell's appearance this week wasn't in doubt. Bell would've had to cough up an $88,000 fine if he was a no-show, according to ESPN reporter Rich Cimini

Meanwhile, fans got their first look at the two-time All-Pro in a Jets uniform on Monday.

In terms of storylines, figure on Bell to get pressed by the media about his relationship with Jets coach Adam Gase. Cimini reported that Gase was "turned off" by the price tag handed to Bell by since-fired GM Mike Maccagan and might explore trading him. Instead, Gase and Bell will get to work on Tuesday to establish the requisite trust needed to make their relationship successful.

Most importantly, Bell will have the chance to grow chemistry alongside Sam Darnold and the rest of the Jets' offense. Once Bell shakes off the rust, he'll provide the Jets with elite-level versatility and playmaking.

For a Jets squad that finished 23rd in points per game last season, the insertion of Bell should immediately rejuvenate the offense and that transformation begins on Tuesday.
