WATCH: Jets' Jordan Jenkins Raves About potential for growth under Adam Gase and Gregg Williams

Jets outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins has made incremental improvements to his game in each of his first three seasons in the league.
The 6-foot-3, 259-pound Jenkins posted career highs in sacks (7), fumble recoveries (2) and quarterback hits (15) last season.
Now that Jenkins will be working under the combination of a new head coach and defensive coordinator, Jets fans have reason for optimism that the best is yet to come for the outside linebacker.
Jenkins spoke glowingly about coach Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams during his press conference at Jets minicamp. Jenkins is excited about his role in Williams' new system and what this defense is determined to be all about.
"No matter who we line up against...going against our guys we're going to be safe but between those whistles it's dog-eat-dog mentality. In my mind, it's F you before it's F me," Jenkins said. "That's just how it is."
Jenkins is also impressed with the leadership of Gase and his ability to fire up the players.
"He's a cool cat. I mean, I like him as a coach. He talks trash every now and then. He's involved with the guys. He's just a guy that you love playing for...He likes getting involved with guys and making sure everybody's working, recognizing when you're in the building, when you're out there, make the most of it and don't just BS your way through it."
Jenkins definitely isn't going through the motions, as he understands his value to the Jets' defense. Jenkins is again projected to be an edge starter, according to NJ.com. Jenkins has started 37 of the 46 games he's appeared in.
The Jets drafted Jenkins with the 83rd pick in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Jenkins has amassed 76 solo tackles and 120 combined tackles during his career.
Establishing rapport and comfort with a new staff is going to be key for Jenkins to build off what he was able to accomplish last season, so it's encouraging that he's already on the same page with Gase and Williams.
