It's well known that Robby Anderson has electric speed and is a big-time presence on long-ball throws by Sam Darnold. However, the Jets wide receiver is determined to prove he isn't a one-trick pony.

Anderson is heading into his fourth season with the Jets and he's motivated to show the world what he's fully capable of.

In 2017, Anderson amassed a career-best 63 receptions along with 941 yards and seven touchdowns. Last season, Anderson had a bit of a regression, as he recorded 50 receptions with 752 yards and six touchdowns.

This offseason, Anderson signed a one-year contract valued at around $3 million. Anderson isn't chasing a big deal though. Instead, he lists his career aspirations on Twitter as greatness, Super Bowls and a (Hall of Fame) gold jacket.

Anderson believes new Jets coach Adam Gase is just the right guy to tap into all of his potential.

“I’ve been labeled a ‘deep threat’, but everybody who knows what I can do knows that’s not the case,” Anderson said to New York Jets.com. “But he’s (Gase) really going to make me a great player, he’s going to bring greatness out of me, and he’s going to let me do things I haven’t really been able to do and take me to that next level. And I’m confident in that.”

Gase envisions a versatile role for the explosive Anderson. The revamped offense will provide plenty of opportunities for Anderson to excel.

“We want to think of ways to get him the ball, ways to create variety in his routes," Gase said to New York Jets.com. "Instead of just doing one or two things, maybe we can open that up to five, six, seven things to where he's a threat on multiple levels —whether it be underneath, intermediate or down the field.”

It's going to be exciting to see all the ways that Gase unleashes Anderson on the field and defenses will now have to be even more aware of the skillful wide receiver.
