Anderson didn't compete in the rest of the tournament held in his native South Florida and the reason has yet to be disclosed.
However it's what Anderson did after the race that will be a lasting memory for him. Anderson surprised his mom with a new Mercedes-Benz SUV.
Is there anything better than when players buy their moms cars?@youngamazing9 surprised his mom with a Mercedes this weekend 🤗

Way to go, Robby.
What an amazing moment between mother and son that they're going to fondly cherish forever. It's always beautiful to see a pro athlete show love to their mother when they make it big.
Anderson earned a second-round tender from the Jets and will make $3.095 million this season. This is a substantial increase for Anderson heading into his fourth season. Anderson previously made $630,000 in 2018.
Last season, Anderson finished with 50 receptions, 752 yards and six touchdowns. With quarterback Sam Darnold growing more capable entering his second season and additions such as Le'Veon Bell and Jamison Crowder, the opportunity is there for Anderson to be an important part of an improving Jets offense.
If Anderson reaches his goal of becoming a 1,000 yard receiver in 2019, his mom could be in line for even more presents next offseason.
