Breece Hall Promises It Won't Happen Again

Second-year running back vows to achieve Pro Bowl starter status and more in 2024

New York Jets' running back Breece Hall was named a fifth alternate for the Pro Bowl Games and he subsequently shared his 2024 predictions via social media shortly after the announcement.

Posting to the site formerly known as Twitter, Hall vowed to be in the Pro Bowl next season as opposed to his current status, which likely won't provide the opportunity to participate this February. The 22-year-old is also targeting All-Pro honors in the years ahead.

"Telling yall now

2024: I will be a Top RB

I Will be in the Pro Bowl

I Will be an All Pro

And it will continue years after that🤞🏾"

After tearing his ACL seven games into his rookie season, Hall returned to full strength in 2023. Despite regaining his superior speed, the dynamic ball carrier struggled at times in the run game. Hall went through a nine-game stretch where he failed to eclipse the 50-yard rushing mark but has averaged 89.5 yards on the ground the past two weeks. He's totaled 816 yards and four touchdowns on 186 carries this season.

Even when contained as a rusher, Hall proved to be a reliable playmaker as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He leads all NFL running backs in receptions (74) and his receiving yards (579) are third most on the Jets. Hall has more touchdown receptions (4) than Jets' WR1 Garrett Wilson (3).

In the Week 16 victory over Washington, Hall accounted for 95 yards rushing and 96 yards receiving.

"He’s one of our best playmakers and then we got to do everything we can to find a way to get him the football," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh prior to the Week 17 matchup against Cleveland.

Hall went for 126 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown in the 37-20 setback to the Browns on December 28. He'll close out his second pro season when the Jets (6-10) visit the New England Patriots (4-12) on January 7. Hall managed 27 yards from scrimmage on 13 touches in the Week 3 home loss to the Pats.
