Detroit Lions Fans React Favorably to New Uniforms

In this story:
The Detroit Lions were able to admirably withhold the reveal of their new uniform until eight hours before a scheduled season-ticket member event at Ford Field.
Supporters have spent weeks digging through and looking for clues to potentially discover what the new Lions uniform could look like.
Unfortunately, Fanatics, a third-party, posted an ad on a local blog site that revealed the new uniform the morning before what was expected to be a large gathering at Ford Field.
The Lions social media team quickly posted players Alim McNeill and Jared Goff reacting to the leak, as several members of the roster are in town for the event and offseason workouts.
Luckily, there are still several facets of the uniform yet to be revealed, including what color the pants are and how the helmet combinations will look.
It is expected several Lions players will still be at the Ford Field event to take photos and share their reactions to what they will be donning all throughout the 2024 season.
Reaction to the reveal has mostly been favorable. The new uniform features readable numbers, the apparent removal of the WCF patch and a black alternate uniform.
One supporter wrote, "Classic throwback inspiration while keeping it modern and clean. Depends how the helmet and pants are utilized, but could be one of the cleaner uniforms in the league."
Those that have been critical tend to point to the lack of a drastic change they possibly had hoped for.
One supporter commented, "Liked the previous version better. These look generic and the numbers look like peg board cutouts. Lions needed an updated logo more than a new jersey."
Here is a sample of the reaction online to the reveal of the new Lions uniform.
9.1 easily. Classic throwback inspiration while keeping it modern and clean. Depends how the helmet and pants are utilized, but could be one of the cleaner uniforms in the league

8, not a fan of the dots on the jerseys but I think they will look a lot better on field compared to retail jerseys.
