Dan Campbell: 'Stay Off Our Train, It's Too Late for You'

Dan Campbell has no room for doubters.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell no longer needs to sell his vision for those not believing what he, the front office and coaching staff are trying to accomplish.

In his third season at the helm, Campbell has his team on the verge of an NFC Championship Game appearance.

Detroit is currently a significant betting favorite to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

“I’m just so proud of the coaching staff and these players for rewarding Detroit with a home playoff win,” Campbell texted The MMQB's Albert Breer after defeating the Rams. “Our fans took it to another level today, and it helped us win! To those fans who have kept the faith, you deserve this! To the doubters, stay off our train—it’s too late for you!”

Part of the reason Detroit has had success has been Campbell putting his faith in his best players.

Detroit could have decided to simply run the football and try to close out the Rams in front of a capacity crowd at Ford Field.

Instead, Campbell and Ben Johnson remained aggressive, empowering Jared Goff to pass the football to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who ensured his team would not lose by making the game-sealing catch.

“I have unwavering faith in Goff in the most critical moments!” Campbell texted an hour and a half after the game. “Today, he did what he’s done for two years by sealing it for us.”

The Rams were never able to get the football back. Goff secured two first downs late in the fourth quarter, cementing Detroit's first playoff victory since 1992.
