Cam Sutton Suspected of Domestic Violence in Florida, Warrant Issued

Cam Sutton reportedly has a warrant issued for his arrest.

Detroit Lions cornerback Cam Sutton is wanted in connection to a potential domestic violence situation in Hillsborough County, Fla.

A post appeared on social media Wednesday morning alleging Sutton is wanted for "Aggravated Battery - Domestic Violence," and it included a potential license plate number of the vehicle Sutton could be traveling in.

Hillsborough County is located in the west-central portion of Florida, with a population of 1,459,762, making it the fourth-most populous county in Florida. It is also the most populous county outside the Miami metropolitan area.

According to the Detroit Free Press, "A public information officer said this is the same Cam Sutton that plays for the Lions and a warrant has been issued for his arrest."

The Lions did not immediately return a request for comment on the allegations.

Sutton joined the Lions last offseason, inking a three-year, $33 million free-agent contract.

Multiple attempts have reportedly been made to contact the veteran cornerback regarding a March 7 early morning incident, but Sutton has not been able to be reached by authorities.

Unfortunately, the veteran did not have one of his better seasons in 2023, struggling in coverage for the majority of the season.

The 29-year-old was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

All Lions will continue to monitor the situation, and update this story as further information about Sutton and his whereabouts becomes available.
