Ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft, many supporters of the Detroit Lions are hopeful the team will add two solid prospects in the first round, potentially on defense.

According to The MMQB's Albert Breer, the Lions could be seeking to trade out of one of their spots in the first round.

"For what it’s worth, I’ve heard the Lions have already made calls on trading down from No. 18," writes Breer in his latest NFL report.

Trading down would make sense, as the team could secure additional capital in later rounds of the draft.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes has already proven in two years that he and the personnel department have the propensity to be able to target solid prospects in later rounds of the draft.

If Detroit does end up staying at No. 18, Breer believes, "a move up for a quarterback shouldn’t be ruled out (the Lions did all the work), and I’ve heard running back would be a consideration too. So No. 18 could wind up being the floor for Robinson."

Hendon Hooker is a player that All Lions is hearing the front office is very fond of and believes has the traits to become a future leader.
