Aaron Donald Has Warned Jared Goff: 'I'm Going to Be Coming After Him'

Aaron Donald and Jared Goff still remain close, and have contacted each other prior to the Los Angeles Rams' matchup against the Detroit Lions this weekend.

Donald, one of the league's premier defensive tackles, has informed his former teammate that he is not planning on taking it easy when the Lions visit SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

It will be the first time Goff has played at the Rams' new home with a capacity crowd in attendance.

"It ain't going to be weird at all," Donald said with a smile, via the Los Angeles Times. "I told him, 'Get ready.' I told him I'm going to be coming after him, so he knows what it is."

Detroit's offense is well aware of the threat Donald brings, and will be working diligently to not allow the defensive tackle to "wreck the game."

"He has an ability to move in different ways than typical defensive linemen. He's not overly oversized in anything, but he's got great speed, just great everything about him. And then he's relentless," Lions center Evan Brown said. "He doesn't give up on a rush. He's going to come every play, give it to you and come play back the next play.”

Goff sent a funny reply back, but Donald would not reveal what was said in response to his message.

"He said something funny back," Donald said. "But, that's between us."

Donald was also asked what he would potentially say to Goff, should he be able to take down his former teammate during the game.

“It could be anything. I might bark at him. Might say something. I don’t know," Donald said. "It depends on how the game’s going, how the crowd’s got me pumped up.

“I’m more of that in-the-moment-type person, so hopefully I get to him. Ask me after the game," Donald added.
