Aaron Rodgers on Bryce Young: 'Carolina is in Good Hands'

In this story:
All eyes were on Bryce Young today in Spartanburg, not future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Now, that's partially because Rodgers and the Jets' offense were on the far field away from the fans for much of the day.
But once the joint practice between the Panthers and Jets wrapped up, everyone wanted to hear Rodgers' thoughts on Carolina's rookie QB.
"I like the kid a lot," Rodgers said. "We share an agent, so I've known about him for a long time. I loved watching him in college. I like his demeanor. I like his movement. I like the way he throws. I trust a guy like Adam [Thielen]. We've been buddies for a long time and he just raves about him, so I think Carolina is in good hands."
Rodgers didn't get to observe Young's practice aside from the two-minute drill at the end, but the two did get to talk beforehand while they were warming up.
"I'm not here to mentor Bryce. He's got a great one in Andy [Dalton], who I've known for a long time too. Awesome guy. I just wanted to get to talk to him, tell him what a fan I am of his, how I love how he carries himself."
Rodgers also delivered a tidbit of advice via his post-practice press conference.
"Be gentle with yourself. It's a long journey. It feels like every little snap and practice is the end of the world if it doesn't go right. It's just not true. It's a long journey. It's about holding on to your confidence and enjoying the ride, enjoying the little things every day. But I think he's got a great head on his shoulders and he'll be just fine."
