Injury Updates on Terrace Marshall Jr., Miles Sanders, Andy Dalton, Cade Mays + Others

In this story:
The Carolina Panthers have more than a few guys banged up and are expected to miss Friday's preseason game against the New York Giants.
Wednesday afternoon, head coach Frank Reich provided an update on several players along with their status for the game.
QB Andy Dalton
Game status: Doubtful.
WR Terrace Marshall Jr.
"Still evaluating. Don't want to jump to any quick conclusions. Like I said the other day, sometimes with these things, you got to let them settle down for two, three, four days, so that's what we're in the process of doing."
Game status: OUT.
OL Cade Mays
"I don't think it's going to be a concern long-term. I think it's a very short-term thing. But he definitely won't be available this week.
Game status: OUT.
RB Miles Sanders
"I think there's a chance of that," Reich said when asked if Sanders will be held out of the final two preseason games.
Game status: OUT.
K Eddy Pineiro
Game status: Doubtful.
The good news is, none of these injuries appear to be serious at the moment. It seems like the staff will err on the side of caution.
"Not at this point. We remain pretty optimistic," said Reich. "Players are so determined to get back on the field. We remain cautious, but optimistic. When a guy gets something, you don't want to put him in jeopardy. And sometimes you have to protect them from themselves and just give it an extra day or two. But we'll take it case-by-case."
