What Todd Bowles Said About the Carolina Panthers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles previews the game against the Carolina Panthers.

Stopping the Panthers' run game

"It's good to have everybody back. Obviously, they got a good back and a huge offensive line. They run the ball very well. They do a good job at that, so we just got to make sure we read our keys and play team ball."

What he sees from Bryce Young as a rookie

"A lot of poise. He's one of the best scramblers I've seen this year. A lot of poise. He's going to be one of the best to ever do it once he's done playing. I believe he's a very good quarterback. Poise in the pocket. Can throw on a dime. Very athletic and he can move in the pocket not just to run but to throw as well. Very patient."

Not taking the Panthers lightly

"We don't take anybody lightly, we can't afford to. We were underdogs most of the year. Division games are special, regardless of who we're playing. It was a tough game that went down to the end the last time we played them and we expect it to be a tough one this time."

What makes the Panthers a scrappy team

They're a lot like us. They're tough. They're tough to play, now. They got physical guys all the way around the board. We have physical guys all the way around the board. It's going to be who plays the smartest is going to win the ball game."
