Panthers Agree to Terms with OL Yosh Nijman

Carolina adds depth to the o-line.

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms on a deal with former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Yosh Nijman, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

The 28-year-old appeared in 17 games this past season, mainly serving as a depth piece at tackle. Over his four-year career, Nijman has played at both tackle spots and will likely be Carolina's new swing tackle. He's appeared in 67 games (22 starts) which gives the Panthers an experienced No. 2 option if something were to happen to Ikem Ekwonu or Taylor Moton or if Ekwonu's struggles spill into year three.

According to Bill Huber of Packer Central on FanNation, Nijman allowed 10 sacks and 58 total pressures in 943 pass-protecting snaps in his three seasons. That’s 94.3 snaps per sack and 16.3 snaps per pressure.
