Carolina Panthers 7-Round Mock Draft: Draft Day Edition

In this story:
RD 1, Pick 1: QB Bryce Young (Alabama)
It's a lock. Bryce Young will be a Panther. That doesn't mean that his slender frame still doesn't bother me. I've said all along that C.J. Stroud is the safer pick for that very reason. But if we're talking purely about the talent, Young is certainly QB1 in this class. The IQ, maturity, and leadership that he brings to the table will allow Carolina to compete for an NFC South title right away.
Last week: Same pick.
RD 2, Pick 39: EDGE Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Kansas State)
Carolina could go with a pass catcher here and I think they'll entertain moving up for one if they can. If they end up staying put, I expect they'll give Brian Burns a pass-rushing partner. Anudike-Uzomah has tallied 25.5 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks over the past two seasons. Perfect fit for a 3-4 as an outside linebacker, giving Yetur Gross-Matos, another former second-round pick, some competition.
Last week: TE Darnell Washington (Georgia).
RD 3, Pick 93: WR Jonathan Mingo (Ole Miss)
Bryce Young gets his vertical threat here in round three. Mingo is a freakish athlete that possesses a nice balance of strength and speed. He averaged nearly 17 yards per catch this past season, further showing how tough he is to bring down to the ground. Mingo can play the X, Z, or slot but seems like an ideal fit at the Z.
Last week: EDGE Andre Carter II (Army).
RD 4, Pick 114: LB Henry To'oTo'o (Alabama)
Bryce Young may want a moving buddy to make the trip from Tuscaloosa to Charlotte. We'll give him just that here at 114. To'oTo'o fits well as an inside linebacker in Evero's 3-4 base scheme and will be the cleanup man in the second level. Over the past two seasons, To'oTo'o recorded 205 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.
Last week: LB DeMarvion Overshown (Texas).
RD 4, Pick 132: CB Cory Trice Jr. (Purdue)
Fitterer likes big, long corners and Trice Jr. fits that description at 6'3", 206 pounds. Corner is not a pressing need but they do need to add some depth behind Donte Jackson and Jaycee Horn. C.J. Henderson has been inconsistent since he arrived and Keith Taylor Jr. is still a work in progress. Trice makes a ton of sense here with their second pick of the fourth round.
Last week: CB Garrett Williams (Syracuse).
RD 5, Pick 145: OL McClendon Curtis (Chattanooga)
Fitterer talked about beefing up the offensive line and it wouldn't be a bad idea to do so when you have a quarterback as thin as Bryce Young. Curtis isn't going to start right away and may not even be in the two-deep, but they don't need him to be. Justin McCray and Cade Mays will be next in line if Brady Christensen or Austin Corbett can't go. Curtis has some work to do in the pass pro department but is strong in the run game.
Last week: WR Grant DuBose (Charlotte).
