Five UDFAs Who Could Challenge for a Roster Spot in Carolina

In this story:
Every year there are one or two undrafted free agents that make a serious case to be on the 53-man roster. Because of only having five draft picks and a light roster heading into the draft, the Carolina Panthers had a larger UDFA class than usual. They signed 13 players in total and there are five that I believe will be in the mix deep into training camp for one of those roster spots.
RB Cam Peoples (Appalachian State)
Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard are clearly the top two backs in this offense. Beyond that, it's up in the air. Raheem Blackshear did a decent job with his limited touches last season but was more productive as a kick returner. Peoples is a much better rusher and was a high-volume guy at App State, totaling 2,830 yards and 30 touchdowns on 455 carries in his career.
OL Nash Jensen (North Dakota State)
Jensen is a seasoned player and was a big part of NDSU's success in the trenches over the last five seasons. He appeared in what is believed to be an NCAA all-divisions record 70 games. Jensen started 55 of those games at left guard and only missed one game due to injury in his career. Brady Christensen, Austin Corbett, Justin McCray, and Chandler Zavala are locks to make the roster but he could oust 2022 sixth-round pick Cade Mays.
DL Jalen Redmond (Oklahoma)
Scott Fitterer mentioned multiple times how good players fall through the draft all the time and this is one of them. I doubt very many people around the league saw Redmond going undrafted. He's got a serious ability to pressure the nose of the pocket, get after the quarterback, and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. That said, he only showed flashes of his potential. He didn't have quite the production he should have which likely led to him slipping out of the draft.
LB Bumper Pool (Arkansas)
Holy moly, did this guy rack up tackles or what? Pool not only has the coolest name entering the NFL this season but he brings a resume that boasts 441 career tackles with him. He does an excellent job coming downhill and stuffing the run, recording 27.5 tackles over the last five seasons. Needs to improve in pass coverage but Carolina desperately needs bodies at inside linebacker, so Pool will certainly have his chance.
CB Rejzohn Wright (Oregon State)
A bit of a late bloomer, but has his best football ahead of him. Over the last two years, Wright has recorded 89 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 17 pass breakups, and four interceptions. Has great arm length at 32 1/2” and size, checking in at 6'2", 200 lbs. Donte Jackson hasn't been able to stay healthy lately, Jaycee Horn has yet to play a full season in the NFL, and CJ Henderson has failed to live up to the hype of a top-ten pick. Carolina needs more help at corner and Wright could be the right guy for the job.
