How Many Draft Picks Will the Panthers Have in 2024?

In this story:

It was a small draft class for the Carolina Panthers in 2023 with just five selections and next year's will be relative in size with just six picks. Due to Carolina's trade with the Chicago Bears to acquire the No. 1 overall pick, they do not have a first-round pick in 2024, at least as of today.

Here is a look at what the Panthers have ownership of for the 2024 draft.

Their own second-rounder

Their own fourth-rounder

*San Francisco's fifth-rounder

The final piece of the Christian McCaffrey trade. San Francisco sent Carolina second, third, and fourth-round picks in 2023 and a fifth-rounder in 2024. The Panthers packaged the second-round choice in the deal with Chicago for No. 1 and sent the third and fourth-rounders to Pittsburgh to trade up for Oregon linebacker DJ Johnson. The Steelers took TE Darnell Washington and LB Nick Herbig with those picks.

*Tennessee's fifth-rounder

The Panthers traded offensive lineman Dennis Daley and a 2024 7th-round pick to Tennessee in exchange for this fifth-round pick. It turned out to be a great move for Carolina, who had no spot for Daley in its two-deep. Meanwhile, Tennessee opted to not bring Daley back and has since signed with Arizona.

*Arizona's sixth-rounder

This will be the first of two picks Carolina received from Arizona in the Robbie (Chosen) Anderson trade. The Panthers will also have Arizona's 7th-round pick in 2025.
