In this story:

We're a little over a month from the start of the 2023 NFL Draft and as of today, the Carolina Panthers hold the ninth overall selection. Given the glaring hole at quarterback, many expect the Panthers to go all-in and jump several spots up the draft order to select their quarterback of the future.

Just how far will they go? Well, according to BetOnline.Ag, the Panthers are the odds-on favorite to make the first pick, meaning they expect Carolina to strike a deal with Chicago to jump up eight spots.

Odds to select first overall:

Panthers +115

Colts +275

Texans +290

Raiders +500

Bears +600

Falcons +1400

Buccaneers +1800

Commanders +1800

Jets +2500

"You go get the guy you want," Panthers GM Scott Fitterer said at the NFL Combine when asked about the possibility of trading up. "If you have conviction, you go get him. It's pretty simple that way. If you don't know and you're going to give all these resources to go up and get it, you're hurting your team in the long run. You better be right. You better have conviction if you do move up."

Also according to BetOnline, Alabama QB Bryce Young has the best odds to go No. 1 overall at -165. He's followed by Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud (+250), Florida QB Anthony Richardson (+450), Kentucky QB Will Levis (+1000), and Alabama DE Will Anderson (+1400).
