Overall thoughts on joint practice with Jets

"I thought the tempo was good. I thought it was physical, thought it was fast. There was good competition. I thought we held the line pretty tight on a couple of the skirmishes. Nothing serious. And then there's good and there's bad on tape. So overall, happy with how the day went."

Absence of Frankie Luvu and Nash Jensen

"Frankie's just got a little nick. We're just trying to be smart. Same thing with Nash [Jensen]. Just trying to make sure they're 100% healthy before they get back out there."

How Bryce Young looked

"I thought Bryce looked good today. The Jets have a really good defense and that showed today at times. Their front is top notch. But I thought Bryce handled it. I thought offense overall, it was a good day. Jets made their fair share of good plays defensively. They had good rush at times, so we have to get that cleaned up. I thought Bryce made good decisions. I thought our spacing and distribution was good."

Where the team is at

"We have three preseason games to play. I feel good about where we're at but I also think we're a long way from where we want to be. We have a lot of work."

Laviska Shenault not practicing

"Just being precautious. He just felt a little something, so you know what? Let's just hold you out today."
