One preseason game in and yes, the Panthers have a lot to figure out offensively, particularly at right guard. Austin Corbett is still recovering from an ACL injury and won't likely be ready for the first couple of games this season.

Offensive line coach James Campen has done a good job of rotating in and bunch of guys at that spot and is still searching for that interim answer.

Cade Mays, Justin McCray, fourth-round draft pick Chandler Zavala, and undrafted free agent Nash Jensen will all have an opportunity to go and win that job over the next few weeks. Michael Jordan did get some snaps there in the game against the Jets, but he's not going to figure into the starting battle.

"No, it's still up in the air," said head coach Frank Reich of the right guard position. "It's a competitive battle. Probably want to get through this game and probably lean towards a decision after this game, so we go into that last game with how that starting five is going to be."

Zavala and Jensen have each missed time due to injuries, but when Jensen has been on the practice field, he's really impressed.

"We've been trying to hold off making a decision until those guys get back, to be quite honest," Reich said Monday. "We feel like those guys are in the mix and have shown a lot of positive things. But their injuries have just kind of lingered on a little bit longer than we anticipated or wanted, so we'll see how that plays out this week."
