In this story:

In honor of it being the 4th of July, I thought it would be a great time to discuss which three Panthers will put on the best shows this upcoming season. Below are three players that will produce the most fireworks in 2023.

RB Miles Sanders

A rookie quarterback's best friend is a running back who can do a little bit of everything, right? Miles Sanders is coming off the best season of his career rushing-wise, producing 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns on 259 carries. He accounted for 70.3% of Philadelphia's rushing attempts (by running backs), meaning he can handle a heavy workload.

But it's not all about the run game.

GM Scott Fitterer made it very clear that he envisions Sanders having a big impact in the passing game as well. Head coach Frank Reich echoed similar comments during minicamp. During his rookie season, Sanders caught 50 passes for 509 yards and three scores. The ability is there, he just needs targets.

WR Terrace Marshall Jr.

Everyone has been anticipating TMJ exploding into a star at the NFL level but it just hasn't happened yet. You can blame a lot of that on the poor quarterback play throughout his first two years in the league and a coaching staff who didn't necessarily believe he was ready to be a featured asset in the offense.

Once Matt Rhule was fired last October, Marshall immediately became a key piece of the Panthers' offense hauling in 43 receptions for 460 yards and a touchdown.

Frank Reich already dubbed Marshall as being a "big play guy" and with the tutelage of Shawn Jefferson paired with a promising young quarterback, 2023 should be the year where he finally takes off.

LB Brian Burns

This is a no-brainer, I know. But I mean, seriously, Burns could be in store for a historic season.

I'll go ahead and throw this bold prediction out there...Brian Burns breaks the franchise's single-season sack record of 15, which is currently held by Kevin Greene and Greg Hardy.

Switching to an outside linebacker in this 3-4 defense will open up even more opportunities for Burns to get to the quarterback and he'll cash in on those chances under the final year of his rookie contract.
