During one of the first few periods of Carolina Panthers practice Saturday morning, something caught my eye. Some guy put on shoulder pads and a helmet at a distance and as he walked closer to the media end of the field, I realized it was wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson.

I didn't know what to expect. At first, he coached through a drill but a few minutes later, he was getting involved. 

"I love that man right there," Panthers head coach Frank Reich said. "I mean, he's one of one. It means so much to him and he takes it personal. He loves his guys and we all do, but he's got a unique delivery and a unique way of coaching. I wouldn't trade him for anybody in the world."

Come to find out, this isn't the first time Jefferson has done this. He also did it back in 2021 when he was with the Arizona Cardinals as well.
