REPORT: Ian Thomas Agrees to a Pay Cut

In this story:
As the Carolina Panthers continue to make moves in free agency, they are also continuing to free up cap space by restructuring contracts with those currently on the roster.
Taylor Moton, Austin Corbett, and Shaq Thompson have all reworked their contracts to help free up cap space and now, it's tight end Ian Thomas' turn. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Thomas has agreed to a pay cut, reducing his base pay to $3 million in 2023 and $3.65M in 2024. The move created another $2.875M in cap space.
Thomas signed a three-year, $16.5M contract last offseason to remain in Carolina. In five years with the Panthers, Thomas has caught 111 passes for 999 yards and four touchdowns.
