Panthers Hire a New Assistant Special Teams Coach

The Carolina Panthers announced the hiring of Devin Fitzsimmons as assistant special teams coach on Friday.
Fitzsimmons has worked with special teams units for nearly a decade in the NFL and will now get the opportunity to work alongside one of of the best coordinators in the league in Chris Tabor.
Last season, the Panthers saw a major jump in production from its special teams with kicker Eddy Pineiro doing a wonderful job filling in for the injured Zane Gonzalez, Johnny Hekker averaging a career-high 48.5 yards per punt, and Sam Franklin Jr. playing at a Pro Bowl caliber level in kickoff/punt coverage.
