The Carolina Panthers could make one or two more free agent additions ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Panthers hosted veteran free agent cornerback Tre Flowers on a visit today.

Flowers played in 15 games this past season for the Cincinnati Bengals as a depth player. He registered 27 tackles, three pass breakups, and one interception. Flowers does have some history with Panthers GM Scott Fitterer, who was a part of the Seattle front office when they drafted him in the fifth round of the 2018 draft.

During his first two years in the league, Flowers started 30 games and notched 149 tackles, two tackles for loss, two QB hits, 14 pass breakups, three interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

Carolina became extremely thin on corners at the end of last season with Donte Jackson being lost for the year due to a torn Achilles, Jaycee Horn suffering a broken wrist, and C.J. Henderson dealing with an ankle sprain.
