WATCH: Patriots Mac Jones Passes to Pharaoh Brown for TD vs. Jets

And Pharaoh said ... "So let it be written, so let it be done."
Facing a sense of urgency in attempting to obtain their first win of the season, the New England Patriots found the end zone in a big way early in the second quarter of their Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Amid the castoff rain and winds from Tropical Storm Ophelia, Mac Jones led the Pats on a four-play, 78-yard drive, culminating in the team's longest completed pass play of the season. On first-and-10 from the New England 42, Jones found tight end Pharaoh Brown on a middle seam, which the veteran took to the end zone for a 58-yard touchdown reception.
The touchdown, in addition to a 48-yard Chad Ryland field goal in the first quarter, gave the Pats a 10-0 lead with less than 10 minutes remining in the first half.

The Patriots are hoping to avoid an 0-3 start for the first time since 2000, as they take on the Jets in Week 3 at MetLife Stadium.
The Patriots entered this week with 14 straight wins over the Jets, including series sweeps in each of the last seven seasons. The win streak is second in team history to the 15 straight wins the Patriots had over Buffalo (2003-10), and the seven straight series sweeps are the most in team history.
Despite rallying into the game's closing seconds for the second straight week, New England dropped its Week 2 matchup 24-17 to the Miami Dolphins in Foxboro. Following their surprising victory over the Buffalo Bills in their season-opener, the Jets fell 30-10 to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.
The Patriots announced on Saturday that starting cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle) and reserve offensive guard/tackle Sidy Sow (concussion) have been downgraded to out for this weekend's game.
