Report: Patriots Have Released WR Cameron Meredith

New England cut ties with a wide receiver who was recovering from a knee injury on PUP.

The New England Patriots have released wide receiver Cameron Meredith, per ESPN Insider Field Yates. Meredith was on PUP recovering from a knee injury, but has not made enough progress to be kept around in Foxborough.

Meredith was one of two receivers the Patriots had a chance of adding to their roster later in the season. The other is rookie N'Keal Harry, who is set to make his return to the team in November after being placed on PUP earlier this month.
