To make room for Bethel on the roster, ESPN Insider Field Yates reported that the organization cut ties with Jordan Richards, who signed with New England earlier this season.

Bethel spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, and spent the 2018 season as a Baltimore Raven. During that time he was a three-time pro bowler and earned All-Pro status once (2013).
He is now added to a roster that already has a bunch of special teams talent, such as Brandon Bolden, Nate Ebner, and Matthew Slater.
