2023 Season Sees AFC North Break Long-Standing Achievement
While it has been an impressive season for the Baltimore Ravens, they aren't the only ones with something to be proud of. The whole AFC North can take pride in a historic season as the Cincinnati Bengals Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns meant all four teams in the division finished with a winning record.
Per Pro Football Focus, the AFC North is the first division to achieve this feat since 1935, when what was known as the West division, which included the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cardinals, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers did it.
Potentially coincidentally, the Lions would make the playoffs and win the championship that year as they took down the New York Giants to do so.
The three AFC North teams in the postseason will hope to replicate that in the coming weeks as the Wild Card round kickoffs on Saturday with the Cleveland Browns going on the road to face the Houston Texans.
Additionally, the Steelers will go on the road to face the Buffalo Bills, while the Ravens will watch from the comfort of their own home, thanks to being the No. 1 seed in the AFC and having the first-round bye.
