Offense Rolls As Ravens Take 28-13 Lead Over Dolphins Into Halftime

The Baltimore Ravens' offense was firing on all cylinders, leading to a 28-13 halftime lead over the Miami Dolphins.

Sunday's matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins was billed as the NFL's game of the week and the battle for the top seed in the AFC, but so far, one team is having a lot more fun than the other.

While the first half started as a back-and-forth affair, the Ravens pulled away to take a 28-13 lead into the locker room.

As expected from a game featuring two high-powered offenses, both teams have had no issue moving the ball. The difference is that the Ravens have found the end zone consistently, while the Dolphins have had to settle for field goals more often than not.

Miami started hot, marching 75 yards in just four minutes for an opening-drive touchdown. However, Baltimore came back with a 75-yard drive of its own, with quarterback Lamar Jackson finding running back Justice Hill for a 20-yard score.

Then in the second quarter, the Ravens scored twice in rapid succession, coming in very different ways. The first touchdown came on a one-yard rush by running back Gus Edwards, while the second came on a 75-yard bomb from Jackson to rookie wideout phenom Zay Flowers.

Before Miami could even think about answering, Baltimore linebacker Roquan Smith secured his first interception of the season to set the Ravens up with great field position. A few plays later, Jackson found tight end Isaiah Likely for a 35-yard score, further padding the lead.

Jackson was on fire in the first half, completing 12 of 14 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Edwards added 37 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while Flowers had 100 receiving yards and the aforementioned score.

Meanwhile for Miami, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 14 of 26 passes for 183 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Rookie running back De'Von Achane had 86 rushing yards, while star receiver Tyreek Hill added 70 yards through the air.

With a big lead already in hand, the Ravens will get the ball to start the second half.
