Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Speaks Out on Critics' Injury Accusations

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is firing back at his critics who accused him of holding out of the playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Following the announcement of his trade request, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson let off some steam, responding to the critics who accused him of sitting out of the playoff game loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in order to protect himself for future financial gain.

"I don't remember me sitting out on my guys week 1 vs jets To week 12 vs Broncos," Jackson wrote. "How come all of a sudden I sit out because of money in which I could've got hurt at anytime within that time frame when we know the Super Bowl been on my mind since April 2018."

"Let's get real. I rather have a 100% PCL than go out there and play horrible forcing myself to put my guys in a bad situation now that's selfish to me," Jackson added.

Jackson's Twitter reveals could be about a release of frustrations; as he explained in his earlier thread of tweets on Monday, there is obviously the feeling that the Ravens aren't willing to pay him his value, which is why he requested a trade.

The aforementioned PCL injury forced Jackson to miss the last five regular-season games. Jackson threw for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns, with just seven interceptions, while rushing for 764 yards and three touchdowns.

Although Jackson did go public about his wishes to leave Baltimore and even penned a thank you letter to the fans, it is worth noting that despite his official trade request being handed in on March 2, the Ravens still seem confident that he'll be with them come Week 1.

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters at the NFL Owners Meetings that is still of the belief that Jackson will stay in Baltimore.

"You've got two sides that appreciate each other here. Lamar believes in us and we believe in Lamar, and we know where we want to go forward," Harbaugh said. "It's a monetary thing. That can be figured out, that can be worked out. It's just a matter of negotiating and you just continue down that road and eventually it will work out.

"There are always going to be creative ways to figure that stuff out."

And in the meantime, Lamar Jackson is using up some "creativity'' with Twitter answers.
