Resting Ravens Tied 7-7 With Steelers After Sluggish First Half

Playing most of their backups in the torrential rain, the Baltimore Ravens didn't get much going in the first half until late.

With the AFC's top seed already locked up, the Baltimore Ravens opted to sit some of their stars for Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to rest up for the playoffs.

The fact that the Ravens are playing mostly backups has shown in the first half as they and their arch rivals are knotted up 7-7 heading into the locker room.

Baltimore's offense, led by quarterback Tyler Huntley making his first start of the season, lacked any real punch for most of the half but finally came alive late.

In just under three minutes, Huntley led the Ravens on a 71-yard touchdown drive to get on the board. Running back Gus Edwards ripped off a 29-yard gain on the drive, and Huntley hit tight end Isaiah Likely for a 27-yard score to tie the game.

The Steelers, who took the lead earlier on a 6-yard rush by running back Najee Harris, put together a decent drive in hopes of responding. That is until Ravens pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney scored a big sack on Mason Rudolph, earning himself a nice incentive in the process. A few plays later, the Ravens forced another fumble and recovered this one, ending the drive to go into the half, tied at 7-7.

Huntley completed five of 10 passes for 56 yards and one touchdown in the half. Edwards rushed for 28 yards on three carries, while Likely had two receptions for 31 yards and the aforementioned score.

On the other side, Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph completed 12 of 14 passes for 62 yards. Both Pittsburgh running backs in Harris and Jaylen Warren had strong halves, with the former rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and the latter gaining 34 yards on six attempts.

Baltimore will get the ball to start the second half.
