New Orleans Saints' WR Michael Thomas' overall rating on Madden 21 at 99 is more proof the rest of the NFL "CAN'T GUARD MIKE!" The AP 2019 Offensive Player of the Year, NFL 2019 receptions leader, and NFL season receptions record-breaker at 149, the 99 Club honor is befitting the talented wide receiver. In 2020, Thomas will share the recognition with four NFL players in Madden's 99 Club.

Madden 99 Club for 2020

  • Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs QB
  • Christian McCaffrey, Panthers RB
  • Aaron Donald, Rams DT
  • Stephon Gilmore, Patriots CB
  • Michael Thomas, Saints WR

The Saints organization had Thomas' barber, Patty Regan, to unveil the honor after cutting his hair. It came with a black box, inside was the 99 Club plaque and gold chain. Thomas is the first New Orleans Saints player to bestowed a rating of 99 in the Madden series of video games.

Earlier this week, EA Games rated the New Orleans Saints team with a top score of 85. Also, QB Drew Brees received a 93 rating on Madden.

EA Sports Madden 21 ratings haven't been without controversy for Saints players. Yesterday, Saints CB Marshon Lattimore was not in the Top 10 of Cornerbacks on Madden 21. Madden's Pass Rushers' ratings were questionable as well. Cam Jordan was EA Sports' #6 Pass Rusher in the league. Los Angeles Rams' Aaron Donald took the top honor at #1, but in 2019, Jordan outperformed everyone ahead of him in sacks. Jordan had 15.5 sacks in 2019.
